Everyone waited to reveal the release date of Death Stranding for a long time before it was announced by Hideo Kojima in the middle of this year, but according to the latest theories associated with ps4 exclusivity, the release date has been revealed indirectly since the game's unveiling was introduced in E3 2016.
One person on Twitter named CMwalsh explained that the date of the release of the game appeared in the form of a puzzle in the logo of the game for the presentation of the official ad at e3 2016, where 11 characters of the name of the game were linked to 8 black threads in reference to the date of 8/11.

According to the author of the tweet that information is a fact that may have been purely coincidental earlier, but it eventually coincided with the official release date.
