Demon's Souls game is one of the highly anticipated games and less than two weeks separate us from its launch date on the PlayStation 5. With each passing day, the development team shares new information with us about it, and recently we talked about the status of images, new changes to the camera, gameplay and the new phase that reflects the enemies' locations and more but news Today it might disappoint some players.

In an interview with Gavin Moore, Demon's Souls creative director, with Level Up, it was confirmed that the upgraded version of the game released two generations ago will not support the ray-tracing technology so promoted to the next generation. In his words, ray tracing was abandoned because it was exploiting resources and at that time they had to get something else out of the game. In his full statement, Moore said:

Like any other graphics improvement, there is a cost (to add ray tracing). If we add ray tracing in the game, we will have to leave something behind. There is also limited time to develop the game.

At the beginning of the development period, the team did not know whether to add ray tracing or not as it was not a priority, unlike the world and the characters. As we said above, the lack of support for ray tracing technology that provides a more realistic experience is frustrating for many, but it will not be a big problem as the game looked great in the latest gameplay demo that you can see here.
