As she mentioned that her losses amounted to $ 62 million and the main reason for this was the failure of the Avengers game, as she was unable to achieve sales of only 60% of the company's expectations. According to estimates, the game sold nearly 3 million copies, and the cost of its production, in addition to obtaining the rights to use the name in a video game, had exceeded the $ 100 million mark.

This is a big failure, especially since the Avengers movies usually achieve big revenues, so this game will be another example that joins the list of games that are adapted from movies that fail.

And SuperData estimated the digital game's sales to be over 2 million copies. Of course, we recall that the game will be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X with free upgrade support, but this has been postponed for next year.

Well, I think that the reason for failure we all know that if Crystal Dynamics had not followed the path of games provided as a service, which became like a curse that afflicted everyone who walked on it, and followed Sony's approach to its game Spider-Man as a purely story game with completely complete content, that game would have achieved success without a doubt. And I hope this failure will motivate them to return to the legendary Tomb Raider series.

Even the part of Shadow of the Tomb Raider, which is considered a commercial failure, has achieved better results, as the cost of its development ranges from 75 to 100 million, but its sales until the end of December 2018 were 4.12 million copies. We do not forget that the Avengers is a service game, meaning that there are still costs that will be paid to support it in the future. Which means a greater loss if you do not attract players to it. When will developers learn from others' experiences?
