Tsuyoshi Kodera is a seasoned Sony Interactive Entertainment executive who has a great advantage in launching PlayStation's online services. However, his mission in this sector seems to be over.

Sony has announced the appointment of Mr. Kodera to a new position within its territory, but away from the interactive entertainment industry of the PlayStation brand.

Kodera-san is scheduled to take up the new post on April 1.

He served briefly as CEO and President of PlayStation before Jim Ryan was appointed.

Tsuyoshi Kodera joined sony interactive entertainment's network team in 2010 as senior vice president. This was before he rose to the position of the president himself three years later.

In his position, Kodera has contributed tremendously to the launch of numerous online services, including the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Plus, and PlayStation Now, among others, and has achieved remarkable success in this regard.
