So far there are no official statements about Days Gone 2 or any sequel to the first part of the game, but the studio's director Chris Reiss said he has certainly not finished the game, about the studio's intention to develop a second part. Reese spoke with a site after Days Gone won the 2019 Golden Joysticks PlayStation Game, and the game's win is a big encouragement.
Reese said:
“Yes, it's a passion for us, and that's what we always wanted to do. This is the world where we want to continue to pump more life and explore many different ways. Who knows, we'll see! ”Information from within the game development studio Bend Studio indicates that the team has recently entered pre-production for a new game. So far there have been no official statements about what this game is, but we can hint from Reese's hints to guess that the work will be the second part of the game Days Gone.
Regardless of the direction the studio goes, Reese said he was grateful for the recognition and praise that Days Gone has received from fans.
“It's great because there was a lot of dedication and hard work from the team. That's kind of rewarding us for that. It's seeing players interact with the game and enjoy the passion we put in it, it's great. ”If Days Gone 2 is coming, there is a good chance that it will be an exclusive game for the PlayStation 5. Expect to see in the next game adventures on a larger scale, with a much larger open world than we have experienced.
