Nintendo Switch officially sold 10 million units sold in Japan as of November 3rd. According to Nintendo, this figure includes sales of the traditional Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite, where the Lite was launched on September 20th worldwide.
In its most recent financial report, Nintendo revealed that Switch had sold 41.67 million units as of September 30. The Lite version has sold to 1.95 million devices in 10 days, and although the exact sales number of the device has not been disclosed in Japan, it is still impressive. Of course, the traditional Switch has received a battery update to keep its sales strong.
Wii also took the lead with 101 million units sold worldwide.
The rest of the fiscal year looks good for Nintendo, maintaining its forecast for 18 million units sold by March 31, 2020. Now that Luigi's Mansion 3 is ready, it is the biggest and most powerful game launched for Switch for 2019 in the UK in particular. More powerful games such as Pokemon Sword and Shield will be released on the market on November 15this year, while Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be released on March 20, 2020.
