Chinese company Megacorp Tencent has revealed that it looks forward to working with Nintendo to learn from them the essence of making gaming devices for European and American players.
Although the Chinese company already dominates the mobile market and has a stake in both Epic Games and Activision Blizzard, Tencent is looking to increase its audience outside China, especially given China's recent decision to impose restrictions on games for people under the age of 18. The company is also in partnership with Nintendo.
A Tencent official, who asked not to be named, told the Wall Street Journal:
What we want is to expand outside China, and our goal is one goal is to target hardware gamers in the USA and Europe, we hope to create Nintendo-themed hardware games and we hope to learn the essence of the hardware gaming industry from Nintendo's engineers.Another official added the Tencent
Nintendo games are not designed to make people pay a lot of money.Lisa Cosmas Hanson, the Managing Partner of Niko Partners, added:
