The news of the announcement of Overwatch 2 seemed somewhat strange with the achievement of the first part amazing success and the reliance of the second part on the same characters with changing designs, though the latest reports indicated that the next game has a limited list of new characters that appear for the first time and are waiting to be reviewed to the public in the next period.
Game Informer's report showed that there are at least 4 new characters released for the upcoming game, including Sojourn and Echo, as well as 13 characters from the first part whose overall design has been reworked beginning with Doomfist.
The report explained that the studio reviewed a suspenseful image of 4 new heroes, namely one male and three female characters, where the male seems to belong to one of the factions of witches, while one of the women appears with short hair with a small animal standing next to it resembles a fox but has bigger ears and an aggressive appearance.
Overwatch 2 is currently under development on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Switch and does not have a specific release date at this point.
