Ubisoft revealed the full details of the fourth season of Year Five of Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, which comes under the name: Operation Neon Dawn.
This new season introduces the first Thai agent to join the Rainbow Six team, “Aruni,” in addition to a completely revamped “Skyscraper” map, new accessibility features, and the new Sixth Guardian program.
According to a senior publisher's statement, players in Operation Neon Dawn are introduced to an all-new defender: Aruni, which comes armed with an innovative tool called the 'Surya Gate', which can deploy laser gates on walls, niches, doors, and windows.
These gates inflict damage on attackers and their tools but stop to allow the defenders to pass. The gate was designed to act as an obstacle, hitting all drones and missiles and causing damage to customers. Aruni carries the P10 RONI or MK 14 EBR as the main weapon and the PRB 92 as the secondary weapon.
In addition to this new operator, players will explore a reimagined 'skyscraper' map, which has been completely revamped with 3 main objectives. The first is to push the attackers inside by reducing the number of balconies and changing their locations to cancel some of the firefights that were previously caused by the players from outside.
A completely new rotation has also been added between the two sides of the building on the second floor. And last but not least, bomb sites have been balanced to make them more competitive.
With the new season, it also comes with new arrival features. Where text-to-voice and voice-to-text technology have been added to the chat channel within the game, and a chat assistant such as narration and hints has been added to the options menu. Moreover, players can now adjust the chat audio/video signals and font size.
The test server for Operation Neon Dawn will be launched on November 9 - that is, tomorrow - for only PC owners.
Last but not least, Operation Neon Dawn is the launch of the Sixth Guardian, in which certain seasons contain a limited time package dedicated to a different charity. More information about the Sixth Guardian package will be revealed to Customer Doc soon.
Rainbow Six Siege is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, while Ubisoft has banned more than 100,000 accounts of cheaters since its launch.
