The RTX 3090 cannot run Assassin's Creed Valhalla at 4K / 60fps

While the news of Assassin's Creed Valhalla action in 4K raised the dismay of some PS5 players, it appears that the mighty Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 card cannot play the much anticipated Viking game in 4K at 60 frames per second as well.

We learned this from the report published by DSOgaming, which confirmed the average frame rate of 56 frames per second when playing in 4K with Ultra settings.

While some might consider this performance acceptable, the rate is falling to 40 frame levels in some villages in the game.

In fact, this stash is more important than usual, given the fact that Assassin's Creed Valhalla is nothing more than a generational game - meaning it is not an experience developed for the next generation from scratch. Hence, it is not known how the RTX 3090 will play the rest of future games.

On the other hand, some argue that the problem may lie with the game itself - but the publication ban on analyzing or evaluating the game’s performance has not yet been lifted.

Until that happens, Assassin's Creed Valhalla game will be released on November 10 on Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X, and PS4, while the PS5 version will be available starting November 12, and don't forget to check out the additional post-launch content plan.
