People were very hopeful that Watch Dogs Legion would be able to move FIFA 21 off the top of the UK's disc sales list last week after recent sales fell by 50 percent. But hope remains a dangerous thing.
Watch Dogs Legion came in second behind the famous football simulator game in last week's charts. Sales of this fun open-world game saw a 54 percent drop, compared to watch Dogs 2's sales four years ago.
As usual, players' interests have changed since 2016 and the vast majority have begun to prefer to acquire digital versions of games. Therefore, we will not know the game's digital status until later this week.
In addition, Watch Dogs Legion will get an update that will enable it to take advantage of the potential of next-generation devices later this month. So keep in mind that some players are waiting to play on PS5, Xbox Series X, or Xbox Series S as well.
Returning to first place, it was amazing to see FIFA 21 sticking to the top for another week, despite its sales falling by about 24 percent on a weekly basis.
Nintendo Switch also continued to achieve significant commercial successes, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons sales up about 17 percent, third, followed by Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, which also grew 35 percent in sales on a weekly basis.
The UK will enter a new quarantine period and curfew - and we may see a rise in digital toy sales - or even disc sales - as people sit at home.
